MeDad's 70th Surprise!

For the past couple of months, Craig and his sisters have been planning a special surprise for their Dad's 70th birthday.  MeDad thought he was going to a nice Italian dinner with Kristin, Allen, and their boys, but low and behold...
Sister Julie flew in from Cincinnati and we were there too
We just love how happy he looks-just pure joy having his family with him
MeDad was putting it all together and everyone enjoying that they pulled it off
Happy Birthday MeDad! We are so blessed you are the head of our family and that you bring so much joy to each of our lives!
A fun surprise too...Jennifer and Tony had a date night just 2 tables over.  What a surprise too!
Aunt Julie got to meet her niece
The Garcias got to meet Avery too
We all met at church on Sunday morning and Luke and Caleb were matching (the blue shirt used to be Luke's and the orange shirt used to be Jack's).  We love our hand-me downs!!!
This was a fun 24 hours and Avery's first road trip.  She did great and traveled SO well!

State Fair of Texas

Craig had a few extra days off that he took to spend time as a family and help me out with the kids.  One of his afternoons off, we headed to the State Fair.  Caleb remembered so much of our fun time last year and was asking for this and that and couldn't wait!  It was fun to continue making those memories and spending some great time as a family.

Caleb chose to ride the same Whale Ride as last year.
Just for fun here is last year's picture
A sweet wave at us through the bubbles
Caleb's second ride he chose was a buggy ride
In Memory of Big Tex
Sorry-another Throw Back from last year
Milking the cow
Caleb wanted Cotton Candy.  They both ate about 3 bites and that was it! I was stuck eating all that sugar on a stick
The Highlight for Caleb:  The Ferris Wheel with Daddy!  This was a special memory for Caleb and one I think he will never forget
A view from the top
Craig getting artistic
Mesmorized by the sights
While Daddy and Caleb were ferris wheeling, Davis and I went to the Dog Show and the Barnyard.  He loved the kangroos
Love this picture
I captured a few great ones of this one actually looking at the camera and smiling
Silly Boy
Mmmm...Fried Red Velvet Cupcake
I was the only one who truly enjoyed it
Fun in mini cars
 Daddy, The Great!
A family picture as we were walking out-poor Avery didn't get a picture but you can see her carseat behind us
A fun time and some great memories!

Fall Fun

Mimi came in town so that Craig and I could go to a Student Ministry event from 5pm-11pm.  It was such an extended time (with 2 bottles for Avery) that Mimi was nice enough to make the long trip for such a short weekend.  Here we are on our special date night with 200+ high school students at a Ranch Party.
My beautiful girls and my wonderful co-leader (bet you can't figure out which one she is).

While Mimi was in town, I planned a special outing to a Pumpkin Farm.  I knew the boys would love it but I also knew I couldn't handle it by myself with 3 kids (as I would have to feed Avery during the time in the car).  The Owens Farm is just off of 75 in Richardson.  It was just okay--it had a few neat things but I was expecting a more grand pumpkin patch.
Caleb loved the stage coaches
Davis was trying to climb the fence to get to the old fire truck and hat
Davis doing is signal for "hhhh" as he touches his head--Hat!
Looking at the horses
the rabbits
A pose but someone is distracted
A petting/feeding zoo-This is when I was feeding Avery and Davis wasn't too keen on the animals.

Mounds of hay
Sweet brothers
A family picture
A hayride
Little ponies
Exploring stairs
Picking his pumpkin to take home
This is a good one
One more family picture
Our newest, littlest punkin
Caleb zoomed through the maze at least 100 times
Thanks Mimi for coming in town for a special weekend and allowing us to do such fun things together
Sweet kisses
