A Time of Rememberance

We had an unexpected trip to Bay City in February.  My dear sweet uncle unexpectedly passed away.  He was an amazing man, so dedicated, hard working, and an amazing uncle and great uncle.  He loved us and his great nieces and nephews as if they were his own.  He will be dearly missed and there is a hole in our hearts with his passing.

The cousins had a wonderful time playing together

Avery and Sarah having fun with the little rocks
Sweet
TJ, a super runner
Kracker throwing the ball to Cousin Matt
Avery liked the shininess of the lights

They came up with all sorts of silly games-thanks to Kracker

The other pastime when they weren't outside, they were consumed with Rainbow Looms
As sad as the visit to Bay City was, it was good to remember what a great man Uncle Willie was and to spend time with family (which was one of his greatest joys).  We miss you and love you Uncle Willie!

February Ice Day

We had another Ice Day on February 6th, the boys went to school, which was fun for them to be able to play in the snow at school.  When they got home the playing continued and Caleb LOVED it.
Avery had her own play time in the snow by herself
I think she liked the tickle of the snow flurries on her nose

Avery's hands are still really sensitive after the burn and they were this color for a long time after coming in from outside.
Daddy came home and some more playing or crying
Caleb swept a big enough pile from the driveway and sidewalks to make a "creation"
He worked so hard and LOVED every minute of it
Sweet boy
So excited!
My precious boy
Now, she's happy

The finishing touches on "Snowy"

"Snowy" made the family picture

Because "Snowy" was in the shade, he was our guest for a few days
Loved these memories that the boys were making! Davis asks frequently when it's going to snow again.  Sweet!

Trips to Austin in February

We had a few opportunities to go to Austin in February and jumped at them. They were quick, whirlwind trips but worth it for the sweet family times we got.
February 1, we got to go to Christalyn's volleyball game
Christalyn's Fan Club
Whew! A great hit!
She's pretty talented
Fun times playing on the court after the game with Kracker

Hugs at Mimi and Papa's
Craig's sister, Julie, flew in for the weekend to surprise their dad and we surprised her for dinner.  We had a lovely dinner and it was great to see everyone.
Pure Happiness seeing our sister after 6+ long months

On our next road trip to Austin, a few weeks later, Avery had a precious open mouth sleep snore
The boys playing peek-a-boo

Another great shot at Christalyn's game
Avery loved watching the big girls play
And Sarah loved entertaining her.  The boys had a blast too
A victory lap after it was over

Fun on the court
Davis playing at the Garcia's house
Avery has cousins that just adore her

She gets a ton of hugs
TJ went for a bike ride with his daddy and the boys enjoyed seeing him all dressed up

My beautiful sister
Mimi with her grandkids (minus TJ)
Davis in action, jumping from the roof of the playhouse.  Can't believe my phone got that shot
We are blessed to be able to whirl into town and whirl out and still have some special time with family.  Grateful to have so many loved ones to see!
