Month 22 - July 25

What a fun month we have had and it is hard to believe it is almost August and we have an almost 2 year old!!  We had a couple of relaxing weekends balanced with a couple of traveling weekends.  (More to come on the Austin/Bay City trip we took this past weekend).  Our word this month to sum up Caleb is a little sponge...he is daily saying new words (giraffe, bye bye, people's names), he loves looking at pictures, books, listening to music, and playing with new toys.  Even though, he gets easily frustrated when something doesn't go his way, we are learning new ways around these "tantrums."  He is so fun and LOVES playing with his Daddy at the end of the day.

We managed to eat/play at Chick-Fil-A 4 times this past month, good thing Caleb enjoys it and Mommy can at least chat a few minutes with her friends.
Caleb is so goofy, silly, fun, crazy, and just a joy to be around.
This boy LOVES balls!!!
Playing in the rain...what a glorious feeling!
Oops, Caleb ran a little too far down the sidewalk and wasn't planning on coming back, so Daddy went after him and carried him home.
A play date with precious Bekah and her beautiful mommy, Jenny, they were in town visiting from Houston.  Jenny is a great friend from college, only wish she lived in Dallas again. (we actually played last month but I was able to copy this cute picture from their blog.)
Play date with punkin Jake, us pregnant mommies have to help each other out when we have doctor's appointments.  What a blessing!

We go to the doctor on Thursday for our Baby Two 12 week appointment!
We are all ready for the Second Trimester!!

Horseshoe Bay Vacay

This is the second annual Horseshoe Bay Vacation with Craig's family.  From Thursday afternoon until Sunday we had a wonderful time with Craig's parents, Craig's sisters and brother-in-laws, and 6 active nieces and nephews.  Our days would consist of lots of swimming, playing in the sand, playing in the quad-plex, visiting, eating, laughing, resting, and so much fun.

With some help from Craig and Aunt Julie Caleb and Ava are now in the cousin picture

WE ARE...

...HAVING A BABY!! The little one is due February 2, 2011 and we couldn't be more excited!

On May 25th, Craig came home to a house full of pink and blue balloons.  We had just gotten home from a dinner with our community where we found out another couple is expecting a baby in January. (actually twins around Christmas but at the time we just thought there was one!)  He was a little confused thinking that I had bought balloons to celebrate the Smith's pregnancy until he realized I was holding the video camera, the regular camera, and a goofy/tearful grin.

We slowly began telling family and friends and it wasn't until we were able to tell Craig's sister in person this past weekend that we felt like we could post a blog about our exciting news.

This is the picture we attached to friends and family that we weren't able to tell in person.
Our first family shot of all 4 of us!!
Gotta love Craig's sister's excitment when she read our shirts! (She was the only we we were able to caputre when we told them the news)
This is a picture our sweet friends, Jenny and Bekah, took when we told them about Baby 2.
We had our first sonogram and saw the doctor and everything is going great, except for the wonderful nauseousness/sickness/crummy feeling Craig has been feeling as he sympathizes for Julie.

We will keep you posted with more exciting news about the second child in the Wenning household.  Thank you for your prayers as we begin a fun, new journey!
