We are...

We are pregnant!!! #3 is due September 6th.  We are SO very excited that our family is growing.  On January 2nd, Craig was so nice and let Julie sleep in but instead of sleeping in, she got up, took a test, and then began to prepare the bedroom to make the announcement.  Julie hung streamers, blew up pink and blue balloons, had a baby shower looking table set up for 5.  Julie called Craig and told him to bring the boys into the room to wake me up, in they came and were all SO excited.

Right away, Caleb said, "It's a girl! And we are going to call her Lucy".  He still says, "when she comes out... or I am going to like having a sister."  Oh, Dear! What are we going to do if it isn't!  Caleb also loves telling people, "When I turn 4, the baby is going to come out."  He also prays for the baby numerous times a day.  So Sweet!
Julie is about 12 weeks now and has gone to the doctor a couple of times.  She looks about 5 months pregnant and has felt a lovely shade of green most afternoons.  There are some different cravings, but nothing too different than Caleb and Davis'.  Julie also feels pretty similar than she did with the first 2 pregnancies (queasy/nausea in the afternoon/evening, not able to brush teeth, and sweet/floral smells bother her-like shampoo, laundry detergent, lotion, perfumes-pretty much anything hygienic is an aversion)!
When the baby is due, Caleb will be a few weeks away from being 4 and Davis will be 19 months!!
Here are some sonogram pictures:
Psalm 139: 13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."  We are so excited to meet this little peanut and for the Lord to have blessed our family with another child!

Sock Monkey Birthday Party

The weekend after Davis' birthday we celebrated-Sock Monkey Style!  Because this time last year, we were iced/snowed into the hospital we couldn't depend on the weather, turns out it was a beautiful week (70 degree weather) leading up to the party but the day of was a little wet and dreary, good thing we planned the party indoors, just in case.  We held the party in our church's Mat Room (a room full of mats for the kids to play on).  It was a perfect set up and couldn't have been more fun.

Here is the cake (We think Kroger did a pretty good job, given the subject)

Davis is 1 year old --- January 31!!

Oh My!! Davis is 1 year old! Where did the year go?
It has been fun to think back over the year and especially how the weather was this time last year-we were snowed into the hospital and this year the weather is a beautiful 70 degree day.

Where do we even begin with this last month before 1...Davis is WALKING!!! He is all over the place and loving it.  It is so precious to see his little Frankenstein walk, his wobbly little legs, and the grin on his face as he moves around on his own.
Week 48 pictures above were taken the day before we found out he had a really bad ear infection.  This is the first one we have ever had with both boys and we feel for the little guy and the pain he was in.  You would never know from the pictures, except his blanket is really close by and helped him through a few hard times.
Davis LOVES balls, he either has one in his hands, mouth, kicking, or throwing.  He is like a magnet to balls and has one in close proximity at all times.
Davis is also pointing but he points with a fist and bent fingers.  It is pretty cute!
We had an off week with pictures--just wanted to include what the majority of the pictures looked like this week.
Our little 1 year old!! He is 31 inches long (90%) and 22 pounds 10 oz (50%).  Ironically the same size as Caleb at 1 year old.  Still can't believe Davis is 1!!!  He is in the process of dropping his morning nap (sad!) and LOVES any and all food!  Such a good eater!
EVERYTHING goes in Davis' mouth-he has quite a big mouth.  This is a golf ball, don't worry he was monitored with it.  But, we do have to be careful for the interesting things he finds and puts in his mouth.
This is the conclusion of our Monday pictures and monthly posts!  We love you, Davis, and are blessed you are in our family!  Happy Birthday Little Guy!
