Horseshoe Bay Vacation

The Sunday after Lisa and Matt's wedding, we packed up and headed to one of our favorite times of the year!  We were grateful to enjoy a few days at Horseshoe Bay with Craig's family.  This was our fourth year to go and it is such a fun tradition.  It is never long enough and I don't take enough pictures but it is still SO much fun getting together with family that we don't see often enough.
Here is the group (but Allen and Jack had already left).
The first night we celebrated Zach's 8th Birthday
Caleb and Ava
The adults chatting-Allen Pie must be really telling a great story
Ava and Lucy playing-too cute!
The next day we were able to go on the Cowden's boat around Lake LBJ. It was SO much fun and Caleb LOVED it and made some great memories!  Thanks Uncle Allen!!
There was a fun pool right on the lake that half the group swam at while the other played on the boat.  Sadly, this is the ONLY cousin picture--I had great expectations that it would have turned out better.
Exited for the boat ride
Davis' first boat ride
Kristin and Jack--Can't believe this kid is turning 10 this year!! He is SO grown up and turning into quite the little gentleman!
Jack wake boarding for the 3rd time ever! He did awesome!
Driving F-A-S-T
Jack, Kristin, and Luke tubing
Caleb was a little nervous about tubing, getting in the water, etc-but this is the picture of him really enjoying it, once we encouraged him a little!  Pure Joy!! (Julie has such wonderful memories of her childhood on Lake LBJ and was a little saddened that Caleb was scared and has only enjoyed 2 trips to the lake). Can't wait until next time!
Getting used to the water and the life jacket holding him up
Not so bad after all
WAHOO!!! Success!
The happy tuber!
Davis being wind blown
MeDad enjoying the adventure
The driver and his boys enjoying the water
LOVE my boys!!

A little afternoon ice cream snack
Thanks MeDad and Daddy for helping Caleb with the fun puzzle
Aunt Julie and Davis
Really wish I took more pictures-it is tough to take pictures at the pool, plus every time we went to the pool it started to rain.  It rained the two afternoons we had at the pool!  Caleb is still praying for the Eagle Bird pool to not be closed-so we can go swimming.  Funny what he remembers.
Back in Austin, after dropping off Craig at the airport so that he could work a few days.  The boys and I were able to squeeze in one more dinner with this great family before everyone departed their own ways.  We went to a yummy Mexican food restaurant and I LOVE the boys pose with a Longhorn.
Ava and Zach riding the train around the dinner table-Thankfully we had our own room because our circus needed it (okay, maybe just our boys!)
We had a wonderful time! Thanks Mammy and MeDad for a great vacation--the family, the fun, the food, the toys, the memories, and every detail in between.  Thanks for EVERYTHING!! We love y'all!

Cousin Lisa and Matt's Wedding - July 7, 2012

The first weekend of July, Julie's dear cousin got married.  Lisa is the closest cousin of Julie's, not only in age (they are 6 years apart) but also in relationship.  It was a special weekend to celebrate Lisa and Matt and it was extra special because Caleb was the Ring Bearer and Sarah was the Flower Girl!
We had been building up Lisa and Matt's wedding for a long time, to get Caleb excited.  We watched videos of walking down the aisle, we practiced, we tried on the super cool tuxedo, and prepared, prepared, prepared!  Caleb was so excited to wear his tuxedo, that on Friday (Rehearsal Day) we so badly wanted to wear his tux but he gladly settled for his blazer.  He wore it to the doctor that morning, he wore it in the car on the LONG drive to the Houston area, he was MOST excited!

Here are the punkins at the Rehearsal
Love this pose-he was standing like this for a while-  He is ready! (Sad that the lighting didn't turn out)
Sarah hugging Davis
Practice Time-Uncle Gary and Aunt Karen walking Lisa down the aisle
Good thing during the practice, Caleb had to use the restroom right before walking down the aisle-guess that is what makes it rehearsal. Standing in the front with the big boys (most were football players with Matt and were great with helping Caleb).
Attempting to learn when to stand up, sit down, and move back to the front!
The day had finally arrived-there was so much prayer poured into this day, not only for Lisa and Matt but for this little 3 year old Ring Bearer to cooperate, be patient, and have a fun time!
SO cute!
Sarah and Christalyn
Lisa's aunt, Aunt Irene, pinning on the flower boutonniere
What a beautiful bride!! Since Matt is a football player, Caleb's Ring Bearer Pillow was a football Pillow-precious-he LOVED it!
Sadly, the only picture I have of Lisa and Caleb (I hope to get more from Lisa later)
A little "Pre-Game" Snack
"Pre-Wedding" Football Game with Daddy to get the wiggles out.  Daddy was a HUGE helper-not only did he keep Davis occupied the entire wedding but he also distracted Caleb from getting nervous before.  Daddy is the BEST!
Davis playing ball too
It was a great throw-looking at Caleb's excited face
They are ready!
It is GO TIME!
Standing Strong-making sure I am 3 rows back
Holding his football and doing AMAZING
Sarah was a beautiful and well-behaved Flower Girl too
Whew!!! They Did it! Mr. and Mrs. Matt Steiner are married and our little Ring Bearer did a wonderful job for the 45 minute Catholic Mass.  We could not be more proud of how patient he was, how well-behaved, and how God provided!
Now the PARTY begins...Caleb could not wait for the party either! The Venue was absolutely perfect and I am just so sad that I did not take more pictures of the fun evening.
Here is Lisa's beautiful Wedding Portrait-
The yummy cake (Love the Willow Tree Figures on top)
Matt's Awesome Groom's Cake (and if anyone noticed Lisa and Matt were married on July 7th, 7-7, His Football number! Too Cute!)
The only picture I have of the lovebirds at the reception
Our Reception Entertainment (and Caleb's Party Shirt-Thank you Cori for the gift many years ago)
Love them-TJ was a huge help with Caleb and Davis!
Davis had a blast exploring, making friends, finding shoes under the table, and running around to the music.
A little dance break
Mimi and Papa
Our attempt at a family picture
Us at 31-ish weeks!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Steiner! You are about to enter the sweetest chapter in your life (and it only gets better).  We were so excited to be a part of your special day and praying for you two! We love you and are grateful that Matt is now a part of the family!
