Avery - 7 months - April 4

Seven Months, Seven Months, Seven Months!
Everything is in Avery's mouth.
Avery Rocking the Spit Up that she (and I) often are wearing on all parts of our clothes.  I am finally coming to terms that she is a spitter upper!

As I mentioned in the March blog post, Avery is now sleeping on her tummy and rolling around.  She sleeps with a lovey and seems to really enjoy having one to cuddle with.

Avery began eating baby food this past month-this is the order we have started her food with about 3-4 days in between before beginning a new one: green beans, avocado, peas (which she loved), squash, carrot, sweet potato, and then just started fruit this week with apples. She eats 2-3 times a day after nursing 4 times a day. She also drinks/spills water from a sippy cup!

Avery getting her ab work out in.  She often is in this position to see the world.

Excuse the camera strap
This is a common look-sucking her arm.
Avery is getting really cute fuzzy hair that is growing in. Maybe one day she will have a ponytail.
Avery is rolling everywhere and continues to sleep incredibly well from 7 pm to 7/7:30 am, she naps around 9, 1, and 5.  And 6 pm is a really hard time of night and she is just ready to go to bed.  This girl loves her sleep!

This was my First Easter Dress that I wore 32 years ago (I was 2 months old) and I was so excited to see that it fit and she looked adorable in it.  I love that the color has naturally faded over time to have a beautiful ombre look.

Happy 7 months Avery Kate! You are a joy, a blessing, and a beautiful part of our life!

March 2013

March--came and left in the blink of an eye! We had another fun month of lazy days at home, a few outings, and three precious kids that we love and adore!  See ALL the pictures below for a peak into our month and lives:

Avery has the whole tummy, rolling around, flipping from front to back and then some.
During Caleb's "quiet alone time," I came in to find him sitting on the couch like this. Funny Kid!
Avery sleeps with a blanket/lovey/type thing--I rotate them, as she hasn't attached to just one
We captured a few funny faces of Avery

I took a picture of her after one nap, when she rolled over and stayed on her tummy the whole nap time. So happy when she wakes up!

Nom Nom Nom! These feet are yummy!

A playtime after church
Davis likes to wear underwear over his diaper to be just like brother.  They are playing with their stuffed animals! We pray they are best friends always!

Funny Kid-dressed himself!
Caleb wanted a dragon to color and I have to admit I was pretty proud of my drawing--if you know me I have NO creativity-so I was happy with Dougy the Dragon
Silly Faces
A beautiful warm day outside
and of course Davis is down to his diaper
I love watching Davis "write"
This was a first...After we had a play date at a friend's house, Caleb (and then Davis) came home to do this.  Turns out, their friend has a wall/walls that you can write on or that they write on.  We had quite the talk about this and what we can and cannot write on.
Davis has been really huggy/kissing/snuggly this month and we LOVE it! Can't get enough of it!

Sweet boys in hats
Daddy left for a quick 24 hours to go to a wedding in Arkansas of someone he works with.  We missed him but was glad he was able to celebrate
While Daddy was out of town, we were able to go to Bobby's 2nd Birthday Party at the Aquarium.  It was so much fun and the boys had a blast and it was fun to celebrate sweet Bobby!
Feeding the Stingrays

Kissing the glass
An attempt at a family picture
Singing to the very shy Birthday Boy! Thanks Edges for a super fun party!

Davis got a haircut
Avery playing in her high chair
Love my 4 1/2 year old!
Davis does anything that Caleb does
Sweet love bug giving me hugs
and kisses!
The tree trimmers were hours of entertainment
Jump Mania--Davis did everything Caleb did and Caleb was so sweet to help him, encourage him, wait for him, and be right there with him. Just love these two and pray that they remain best friends!!
Sliding together
Caleb waiting for Davis
Davis in the little kid bounce house
Caleb on the Velcro wall

We were on our way to the park that we normally go to, I saw a sign through a neighborhood and found a new park.  You would have thought that we won the lottery--Caleb LOVED finding a NEW park and being the only ones there.

Caleb climbed over a chain link fence and jumped over the other side. Didn't know he knew how to do that!

Precious when the boys want to hold their sister and take a picture

Caleb's Dentist Appointment went well
Davis had an accident with a pair of craft scissors
While I was feeding Avery, Davis pushed a step stool over to the pantry, climbed up, got a HUGE bag of cheez-its, and attempted to pour them into a bowl, and this was the lovely mess that it made.  Caleb was so kind to help him clean them up.
Cori and I helped for a few hours in the HUGE process of stuffing 1,200 Easter Baskets.  Our Seniors were supposed to meet us at the house but their busy schedule left Cori and I having fun by ourselves.
Sweet Bible Time before bed
Playing at the Tree Fort at church
A beautiful bouquet for Easter
Silly Boy had many faces during our car trip to Austin for Easter

A new bike helmet for Davis
While in Austin, I was able to squeeze in a quick visit with my best friends from High School.  Megan is moving back to Ireland and Lori brought her precious little girl, Ava, to see us all.
While at my parent's house, we found my old yard sign.  Instead of keeping the sign that holds many memories, I just took a picture of it.
And attempted to do a Y Scale in my church clothes with heels on-Ha!
Caleb had fun on Uncle Brian's skateboard
Cute matching boys
Both boys in the car being pushed FAST by Daddy
MOST the time, Caleb and Davis play really well together but Davis is still learning gentleness and Caleb is still learning discernment, grace, and forgiveness!
Avery's first taste of baby food--mmmmm! Green Beans!

Not so much!

Okay, this isn't so bad!
Interesting stuff Mom!
We posted a sign on the garage door with a bag of cotton balls, warning Daddy when he got home from work, that he was about to enter a war zone and to prepare himself with his ammunition. The boys were bathed and ready for a Snow Ball Fight!

Love Them!
She loves her play mat
A family picture of us dressed in green for St. Patrick's Day
Caleb wanted to take a picture with Avery

We did a science experiment that turned into an art project--we made it rain with food coloring, water, and shaving cream. So fun to see all the pretty colors!

Davis had a BIG month...he learned to climb out of his crib.  After 4 exhausting days of re-training him to stay in his crib during bedtime, we made the move to a big boy bed. It was a few rough days (and nights) but he was really excited!

This is what they look like many nights!

And then the excitement wore off and he sleeps on the floor.  He now has a pallet on the floor and he can choose to either sleep on his bed or his blanket.  Sweet boy!
Avery having some Daddy time!
She loves grabbing anything and everything!
Such a fun month and a TON of pictures.  Hope you enjoyed our month as much as we did!
