Family Photos Spring 2014

A photographer in our neighborhood had a great deal for a quick photo session.  It was a fast 30 minutes and I think she did a great job with our 3 ring circus!
These two-best buds!

Maybe a different location will work
Nope!

Love these three
I never forget to take a picture with the love of my life

It isn't a complete photo shoot unless we take a crazy one

Such great memories to capture their little personalities!

A beautiful woman...

On June 4, my 93.5 year old grandmother (our last grandparent) passed away.  She lived a long and beautiful life.  I am grateful our kids knew one of their great-grandparents and she left a great legacy.  We had a great time in Austin despite the circumstances and it was fun all being together.

(This was a picture of my stunning grandmother back in 2011 when she was 90 years old)

Caleb was taking pictures with my phone the morning before the funeral

Davis, How old are you?
That's easier to do
Posing with his bear

Why is it that Caleb can get Avery to look at the camera and smile?

Even got a sweet picture of Papa

At the cemetery, looking at Uncle Brian's headstone
After a yummy Mexican lunch with family, we went for a cold dip in a neighbor's pool

Avery is not sure of Uncle Tony
Too funny-she glared at him and he made faces back at her
Mimi will always hold a special place in our hearts, we are grateful for her 93 years here, and we will see her again someday in heaven!

Memorial Day at the Ranch 2014

For the Memorial Day weekend, Craig's Dad felt like he could do a night at the Ranch and see it for the first time since the new house was built and since the construction had started a year before.  His health began getting worse around the time construction began.

Our car was a little packed on the drive down due to bringing down some new items for the Ranch.

Love the kids' excitement when we pull into the dirt road and we let them unbuckle
The beautiful view

It was wonderful seeing his reaction and we had some tears of joy that this day finally arrived for us all to be out there at the same time.
Love his face

Along with this weekend, there was a TON of rain.  The kids were going crazy, so we let them play out in it the mud.  It was a mess but they had a blast, until they had to take a cold bath because the hot water wasn't working at that moment.

Squealed with delight watching the pup pup swim

Kristin took MeDad back home after a rough night.
Mimi and Papa came for an evening to see the new house for the first time too.

It rained, and it rained, and it rained some more! It was a weird tornado color.  It rained so much that we had a difficult time getting out of the low water crossing but it still was a great trip.
As always, we love the Ranch, love our trips there, and it is worth the long drive to spend 1.5 days there.
