32 Weeks Sonogram -- August 15, 2008

We just got back from yet another sonogram and the little one is getting some chubby checks (see the picture above of his baby face) and even some rolls under his chin!! We is weighing in at a whopping 5 pounds 15 ounces (he has grown 2 pounds and 2 ounces since the last month's sonogram). He did not quite double in size like the doctor prepared us would happen but it is close. He is only in the 83% in weight. I guess we are feeding him well!! The sonogram doctor is more concerned about the weight than the kidneys (which we think is a good problem to have- at least for now. Until, the little guy is ready to come out- Julie's not nervous at all!!)

The right kidney is still a little dilated, about 9.9 millimeters (and it should be about 7 millimeters). They don't seem too concerned but we will go ahead and meet with a Pedatric Urologist before delivery. After the little guy joins the world they will run some tests on his kidneys and then assess at that point what should be done. The Lord is in control and He knows the plans for this little guy.

We went to Austin for our last trip to see family before the arrival of our son. We had a fabulous time at the Baby Shower and a surprise 60th birthday party for Julie's mom!! We will post pictures later! We were able to see many dear family and friends. Thank you all for your love and support!

Also, be praying for us as we are beginning to pack our 2 bedroom, 1 bath upstairs duplex that we have lived in for over 3 years. (Ole' Ellsworth -or Hellsworth in the summer- will always hold a special place in our heart). The big move-in date will be around September 4-6, if any of you are interested in lending a hand to paint, move, unpack, or keep Julie company!!
