Soccer - Dinos 3 Year Olds

This kid lives and breathes soccer.  For 365+ days ever since Caleb played last fall, Davis has been wanting to play.  Remember when Davis potty trained last fall, out of all the toys he could have chosen, he chose a soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards.  He LOVES soccer.

So the time had finally come and saying Davis was excited was an understatement.  Such a cutie!

Practice couldn't come soon enough
Caleb was so encouraging and the first practiced he wore a matching "practice" shirt with Davis.

A little pre-game warm up before the first game

Let the game begin...and Davis scored the first goal in the first 10 seconds
Goal!!!!
High Fives to Daddy
Mob Ball
Goal!!!!!!!
And...we are losing him.  Something set him off and he turned!
Goal!!!!
Goal!!!!!!
He was done despite scoring four goals in the first quarter!
Game 2, Davis was not wanting to play but got out there to kick a few kick-offs.

Wow!!! That kick!
He's done!
Avery had fun meeting new friends!

A celebratory time with Daddy after a goal

After numerous talks, prayers, practices, sitting on the sidelines and cheering for his teammates.  We went to every practice and every game but he only played for a few minutes during Game 4.
Game 4 finally playing

Goal!!!!!

Goal!!!!!
So...not sure what happened with Davis but he just didn't like the games, the whistles, the cheering, the noise.  We don't know but many prayers went into Davis and this soccer season.  It was a LONG 8 weeks but we knew the Lord was doing something in it so we remained faithful and pushed through this situation.  Go Dinos!!!!!!!
He was sooooo excited to get a trophy!
