Christmas 2012

Christmas was SO fun this year.  Caleb REALLY got it and asked some great questions about Saint Nicholas, Jesus, gift giving, chimneys, reindeer, etc.  Davis followed suit and loved all the gifts and surprises.  Because we knew we would be in Austin, we gave 2 big presents the week before we left.
Day 1: the boys woke up to a trampoline--Davis is a jumpin' maniac and we needed something for him to safely jump on and get his "wiggles" out.

Day 2: The boys woke up to a family gift, a Wii.  Even though they are a little too young for it.  We got a really great deal and used some gift certificates and did not need to spend much.  So far, Caleb loves Mario Kart and has gotten surprisingly good at it.
We left Saturday morning for Austin and will fill in the Non-Christmas Activities in another post.  On Saturday night we did "Christmas" with Mammy and MeDad. Davis loved the bicycle helmet, but sadly his head is too big.
A cool garage
And aren't these cupcakes the cutest things ever
Christmas Eve Morning, we spent time with the Cowdens--6 of the 9 cousins
Love these two!
Love this picture
Mammy, the baby whisperer
Lucy, the little mommy's helper (and a family picture coming soon)
Christmas Eve Night was SO special...we were able to go to the Garcia's church and watch Tony baptize Christalyn and TJ.  What a special event to see these two publicly announce their faith!! Caleb and Davis loved it too.  Davis waved to "GG" the whole time and TJ waved back.  Love these two special niece and nephew!
It was truly beautiful to see Great Mimi and Papa illuminated by the beautiful candlelight during "Silent Night." So glad that I captured this, sad that my flash went off.
Faith and Avery matched (Sarah and Christalyn matched but didn't get a picture of them).
Sweet
Someone was making them both laugh.  Treasured!

Avery is SO loved--We included this one to document Davis' first big bloody boo-boo (see the back of his shirt).  Earlier that morning he fell backwards off Papa's office chair and his the back of his head on a slightly open filing cabinet.  It bled ALOT but he/we made it through!
The Garcias showed up and so did Papa  Santa.  Caleb was so happy to see him!
And Davis was not excited to see him
The Cousin and Santa Picture

The Garcias gave the boys the coolest Jet Packs!!!
Mimi sat on Santa's lap and opening her present, a fancy bracelet.
Love Faith
Mimi and Papa fixed a delicious Prime Rib!!!
TJ found out that frozen, wet ice cubes stick to your lips

Mimi gave the boys matching underoos and they have their matching jet packs on and "flew" around the house like Buzz Lightyear!
Two peas in a pod
We had a really fun Christmas and are grateful to have shared it with so many special people and making some great memories.
"An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:9-14
