April 2011

Oh what another fun month!  Caleb has been super sweet and has had more tantrum-free days this month than the past few.  We bragged about him turning 2 1/2 years old and being a different child (and then the next day, he made a liar out of us-wow how our children can humble us).  We have been able to do some really fun things now that we are back in the swing of normal life.

Enjoy ALL the pictures of this month:
Caleb has been quite adventuresome with slides these days-which is great because for the longest time he was a little timid of them.  (Speaking of which, he is now in a new phase of being "scared" of things-loud things (vacuums, lawn mowers, blender, mixer, etc.), big things in books (giants, bears, etc)).
Our Punkin Love
Brother Love! (Caleb loves holding Davis)
Our first time to church with our family of four
Davis is excited for big church-Julie had to feed him during church but he sure did sleep well during the loud worship music
Watching the Master's with Daddy, wearing his "Daddy's Future Caddy" onesie
A new favorite position Davis likes, sitting up between the cushions of the couch
Caleb's new crazy smile and eyes-Silly boy!
Dianne, Julie's MOPS Mom
Lauren, an ADPi friend of Julie's
Lindsey, Lauren's Sister
Hollis, one of Julie's girls
Shelly, a friend from church
We went to the flight museum with a friend from our playgroup, Amy and Caroline.  We had so much fun!
It is almost as if they are making sure they are not flying into any birds
We have had some crazy weather this month-from 90+ degree days to 40 degree days to rain, crazy thunderstorms and hail-see the pile of hail on our front porch
And with all the crazy weather, we have had some serious wind.  Part of our beautiful 17 year old Bradford Pear was blown down.  We are going to get an arborist to come look at it but we think they are going to suggest we take the whole tree down-so sad!  Bradford pears aren't supposed to last this long but still so sad.  Fortunately, a month ago, Craig trimmed up the tree or else it could have been bad if it fell on the house.
Craig worked SO hard one Saturday afternoon in pulling up the old grass that got a disease last summer and never really came back and planted new sod.  It was back breaking work and he did such a great job.  I am so proud of how hard he worked, the dedication he had in doing a job to the best of his ability, and continuing to find ways to improve our house.  I am so glad that Caleb was out there "helping" his Daddy and got a front row seat at the wonderful man his Daddy is.  (Craig also planted Julie some beautiful flowers but I can't find the pictures of them).
