During Memorial Day Weekend, we took advantage of the 3 day weekend to drive 7.5+ hours to the family ranch with Mammy and MeDad. It is always such a fun time and never long enough!
The boys were so excited to drive over the cattle guards and onto the dirt road and low water crossings.
Davis loved opening and closing the front gate.
So much freedom and joy!
MeDad and the boys checking out the spring including the frog inside
Mmmmm...Mammy made some incredible meals, she kept our bellies FULL!
Avery's belly was full too!
These pictures were the boys make Avery laugh with delightful! She loves her brothers and how they entertain her constantly!
Sweetness!
If you look closely, her first 2 teeth are about to pop through (2 days later to be exact).
Oh, the fun on the mule!
Evening ice cream is a special treat-Thanks Mammy!
"Insert funny caption here..."
Our first family of five Selfie!
The kids were in bed and I was getting "artsy" (or as artsy as I can get)
Sunday was a Funday with a lot of rain! Davis is asking ever so nicely for me to stop taking his picture
My new favorite picture!
Sweet!
Caleb was brave enough (and so were we) to let him ride the zip line by himself (with us catching him at the end). Saying he loved it would be an understatement!
Davis enjoyed the Zip Line but needed a little more assistance because he would just let go when he was done
Love MeDad's excitement
The place where the beautiful new house is going to be
Throwing rocks
Going for a hike
Davis kind of woke up on the wrong side of the bed from naptime and was not wanting to be left out of the hike but was very adamant about only having Daddy.
Avery and I did not go all the way up the mountain so we had our own special hike and pictures time. A different angle where the house will be.
At the top of the mountain victory picture-someone still looks grumpy
Caleb and MeDad
The hike was a success
and this "big" boy was quite proud of himself
This 4.5 year old did it all by himself with NO assistance-growing up too fast!
And then Davis got tired and still only wanted Daddy!
Our traditional Deer Horn Picture!
Maybe if we put a bow on her head she wont look so bald
Here are all the kids-Can you tell who is who? Caleb took all the hair and poor Avery has none!
We ended the night with a family fun mule ride and it was Ad.Vent.Urous!!! Daddy went through the low water crossing a little too fast and we got SOAKED!!! Poor Avery was so confused! What a memory that was!
"Big Splash! My Diaper's wet!"
"Let's do it again!"
Craig was holding Davis and has a cute little outline where Davis was sitting
A beautiful sunset to end a beautiful weekend. Thanks Mammy and MeDad for such a fun weekend. We had a blast and you really made the weekend so special for us. We are grateful for the memories that are made because of you and these special times together!
The farewell committee sending us for our LONGhorn journey home
A pack of deer-kind of hard to see but there were 5 of them
