We were so excited to be able to spend an extended time in Austin. We drove straight into Austin and were so excited to celebrate sweet Corban at GattiLand. It was a great start to a wonderful time in Austin. Wish we got to spend more time with Pam and her precious boys. Excuse the awful picture of these two silly boys but it was the only one I have!
It was also so fun to be at the birthday party with the Garcia Cousins! Uncle Tony works with Corban's grandfather.
Someone was excited to have some attention.
Sunday: we went to church with Mimi and Papa and Avery needed to start wearing her precious smockings.
Mammy got Avery some pretty pink boots and Davis was all to eager to try them on (and they fit great.)
Trying on our new fireman hat
Sunday Night: we had dinner at Chuy's with the Cowdens and Davis was eating Guacamole straight out of the bowl.
Fun times after sitting at a table for too long
Christmas Eve: Jumping on a trampoline at the Cowdens. LOVE the hair!
Forgot to post this in the Christmas post!
Just a few seconds after these pictures were taken, Mommy's sunglasses did the splits and will never be the same again.
Daddy had to work on Wednesday, so he had to drive home in the snow. But, fortunately he was able to take a few pictures of the beautiful White Christmas that we missed. At least, our children have proof of the snow and Caleb was so sad to not be able to play in the snow. (Just a note, this was our second Christmas since Caleb was born that it snowed and we were in Austin).
Had to get a picture of Avery in this outfit because I remember Caleb wore it his first Christmas too.
Wednesday: we laid a little low because Davis was not quite himself. Thursday: we went to an inflatable jumpy place. The boys had a blast!
The boys found some of Mimi's "Shoes" that she gets from getting a pedicure. They loved them!
Friday: Played at Lori's house and saw Megan too
Ava wasn't quite sure about these loud boys playing with her toys.
Her look is classic
Same with wondering why her mommy was holding another baby
Saturday: Was a sad sad day. We found a doctor that would see us. They looked in both Davis' and Avery's ears and Davis was fine but Avery had an ear infection and goopy eyes. She is on Amoxycilian and doing better but still a cough/congestion. Poor Girl! She got worse before she got better.
Papa (and the infection) knocked her out.
Saturday afternoon: we moved to Mammy and MeDad's house
Mimi gave the boys matching outfits--too cute!
Caleb so cozy watching a show!
Silly Boy (don't worry we made sure he knew to never put a plastic bag over his face
A quick visit back to Mimi and Papa's
to see Uncle Willie
Daddy, Caleb, and MeDad took a hike in the neighborhood and took some great pictures
Waiting patiently for Mammy's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Mmmmm...worth waiting for
"Mommy, take my picture!"
Daddy took this hysterical picture. Davis acting as Mommy, laying there watching the Baby Monitor and Caleb acting as Daddy, fast asleep or pretending to be asleep! He He He!
On New Year's Eve, we had a great Date Night! We went to one of Julie's sorority sister's wedding. Brandi and Dean got married at a beautiful venue and we had fun Ringing in the New Year with some great friends! We stayed through midnight (first time in a long time and may be the last for a while).
They had a fun confetti drop!
This was my date...he is a HOT one (and sober, just to let you know).
We left on New Year's Day and we had such a fun and wonderful time but were glad to be home. Thank you Mimi, Papa, Mammy, and MeDad for hosting us for SO long. We had a wonderful time and are grateful for each of you and the role you play in our children's lives.
