Sadly, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving we received some sad news that my Aunt Liz (my mom's sister) passed away. Back in July, Aunt Liz was diagnosed with an inoperable Brain Tumor and was given 3-6 months to live. She quickly spiraled downwards and my mom was able to take a few trips to see her.
So instead of us leaving to head home on Sunday after Thanksgiving, Julie, Mimi, Uncle Willie and the kids drove to Bay City. We stopped in for Avery to meet a few special people.
Julie's Cousin, Lisa
Aunt Karen, Lisa, and Uncle Willie
See the bright blanket on the back of the couch, Avery couldn't take her eyes off it.
Aunt Karen just had surgery so she was being very careful in holding Avery.
Uncle Gary
The boys loved running around and playing especially after 3 hours in the car-Davis is wanting some Mommy Time in a new place
The boys were filling up their pockets with gravel from the driveway.
Caleb had so many rocks from in his pocket-his pants wouldn't stay up. Sadly, there were a few in his pockets when it was time for bath and poor Uncle Willie had a mess to vacuum up
Exploring Uncle Willie's house (was my grandparents house that Mimi grew up in) So many memories at that house and in the pasture in the back
Digging
Look what Mimi caught!
I used to love getting the eggs from the chicken coop
The Garcias made it in town and Faith was singing and rocking Avery
Little Miss Avery dressed and ready for the funeral
The kids playing in Papa's car-Someday all the cousins will be in a car together! So Fun!
Fun with leaves
These two are the best of buds. Caleb thought about TJ when packing and wanted to bring some costumes to play in. Davis is now saying TJ's name, the first one outside of Mommy, Daddy, Mimi, Mammy, and Papa! He calls him "GG" Love it!
Sarah and Caleb play so well together
Julie's Cousin/Aunt Liz's son, Keith, and his sweet wife Shelley
We slept in every nook and cranny of Uncle Willie's house-it will NEVER be the same after 7 kids blew through it. The kids are helping Papa let out the air on the air mattress
That concludes our trip to remember a great Aunt! It was a beautiful funeral remembering a wonderful woman, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend! Aunt Liz will be missed!
Avery asleep after so much fun
We almost forgot to post our Thankfulness Tree that we have been adding leaves to all month. Caleb was so good about telling us what he was thankful for but most of the time it was things that he saw right in front of him. Too Funny!
Our Thanksgiving Tree (list in no particular order): Baby Jesus, Love, Tables, Our Kitchen, Grace, Our Church, Food- Pizza, Books, Smoothies, Apple Juice, School, Trick or Treating, Electricity, Running Water, Trees, Picture Frames, Chips, Salad, Family Being Together, Fire Trucks, Firemen, Daddy’s Job, TV-Netflix, The Library, God, Ice Water, Our Playscape, Lamps-Light, Our House, Microwave, God’s Sovereignty, Christmas-Jesus Being Born, Mommy and Daddy, Baby Sister Avery, Saturdays-Staying Home with Daddy, My Brother Davis
We also did a few more crafts of painting the pumpkins before throwing them away.
Davis' new face as he says, "Cheeeee"
Caleb's many faces
Davis' new thing is to say "NO!" when I take a picture but I was able to capture this one

So grateful for our Family, our extended family, making memories, and beautiful Fall days!
