Another Fun Weekend

Upon Julie's arrival back to Austin from the Boston vacation, Julie brought home Mimi to stay the week with us while Craig was in Boston and to watch Caleb again while we went on a high school retreat with our Sophomore students at church.  

Here are a few pictures of  the happenings during that week and weekend:

Also, a fascination with blue surgical gloves, thanks to Cori for leaving them at our house after tie-dying.  He literally wore them for 2 days straight (minus sleeping in them) but eating, bathing, playing, and all.

On Saturday morning, Mimi was nice enough to take Caleb to his buddy Cade's 3rd birthday party at the Flight Museum.  Here is Caleb and the birthday boy flying a plane together!

Needless to say, Caleb LOVED it!

Boston Vacation - October 23-26

Craig had a work conference in Boston, so we decided to make a vacation/babymoon the weekend before the conference began.  Julie drove Caleb down to stay with Mimi and Papa, met Craig in Boston and enjoyed 4 days and 3 nights of it just being the two of us.  It was great to get away but we missed our little guy so much.  The weather was pretty chilly and the fall foliage was just beautiful.  There is so much history from cemetries, churches, museums, libraries, restaurants, parks, buildings, and statues.  It is so much fun to travel with eachother and explore with no agenda.  Not to mention Boston is such a romantic city and a perfect place for a get away.  Craig did a great job planning dinners and evenings out, including a comedy show called Shear Madness.

Day 2-Sunday, the day we walked ALL over the city-the harbor just outside both of our hotels

It was finally some what warm enough so we could get a non-jacket picture.  We are outside our hotel and overlooking the harbor near the Boston Tea Party Ship (Julie in the 25th week of pregnancy)

As much fun as we had Caleb was have twice the fun we did as he was with Mimi and Papa.  On Saturday they went to a Halloween Festival at Aunt Jen's church with his cousins and had a BLAST (sadly, no pictures).  Then, we went over and played with them and had a lunch date with Mammy.  Such a fun weekend for him too!  Thank you Mimi and Papa for allowing us to do this, making it work, and loving our son while we were away.

Weekend at the Ranch - October 15-17

Obviously there has been a slight delay in blog posts recently mainly due to the whilrwind of the past 3+ weeks we have had.  So, bare with us as we catch you up to speed on the past month.  (Not to mention uploading our pictures this past week has caused Julie some major stress-not sure what is happening but hopeful they were not all deleted.)

Craig has been wanting to go enjoy the Ranch with his parents and it was a wonderful weekend with absolutely perfect weather. We forgot how wonderful the Ranch is this time of year (as we always go in the summer with the heat). As always Caleb loved the mule, the cows, the outdoors, the freedom, the turkeys that are a new find, throwing turkey feed, the "moo poo," (his newest favorite word),  the new zip-line, MeDad's Birthday Celebration, the tractors working on the neighbor's land, the trucks, the hike/nature walk that Mommy carried him the majority of the time, and of course the special time with Mammy, MeDad, and Daddy.
