One of the first couple weeks of school Caleb got to bring home Peanut, the class stuffed bear. He/We had so much fun with him!! Daddy and Caleb had some fun creating their page to put in the class binder to tell about Peanut's adventure. (Enjoy Peanuts' writing below)
On Friday, I was able to come home
with Caleb and we were bearly there a few
minutes before he
dressed me up in my favorite outfit – Spider Man! Just curious but do I bear a
resemblance to Peter Parker?
This is all of Peanuts clothes (girl and boy both)
Davis dressed in a matching spidey costume but Peanut already changed to a fireman before he had a chance to take a picture with him

Friday night soccer
Later on Friday night, I was able
to go to Caleb’s soccer game and afterwards I went with Josef’s and Caleb’s
families to a yummy pizza place. I can bear
witness to how good the pizza was but I ate so much I walked away stuffed!
We stayed out later than normal at
dinner and by the time we went to bed there was bearly any
light outside. Caleb let me wear my Star Wars pajamas to bed and he wore his
spaceship ones. We both slept beary well!
On Saturday, we woke up and Caleb,
Josef, and Austin had another
soccer game. They played really hard and I learned from watching them
how to be good teammates. The sun and heat were unbearable in
my fireman pants. I beared the brunt of the game while
Caleb’s little sister, Avery bear-hugged me!
On Saturday night, we read the
Chronicles of Narnia with Caleb’s Daddy and brother, Davis. It is a really good
book and I loved hearing about Aslan. I learned He isn’t safe but bear in
mind He is good! I also discovered Aslan was an allegory to Jesus and about all
the sin He beared on
the cross for us!
On Sunday morning, I went to church
with Caleb’s family. Caleb was wise enough to buckle my seat belt so I’d be
safe and sound. I wasn’t going to say
anything, but I think he forgot to dress me that day.
Needless to say, I was embearassed! At church, we read Matthew 7 and
learned that a tree is judged by the fruit it bears.
After church, Caleb showed me his
favorite games to play in his backyard. I was a little scared of heights but
Caleb encouraged me to grin and bear it
while he held me bear handed!
We
also swung on Caleb’s playscape.
When I wasn’t giggling, I screamed “Higher, Higher, Higher!” but I don’t think
Caleb understands my language, Bearese. Caleb later told me he didn’t
want to swing beary high or else we’d just have a
picture of the bottoms of our feet
The last thing I was able to do was
skateboard with Caleb. I couldn’t believe he had a board just my size and he
let me skate bear-footed. His thoughtfulness was
more than I could bear – he even remembered my helmet!
Thanks
for bearing with
my less than punny
sense of humor!
It was a sad Monday morning when Peanut had to go to another child's home. Avery was sad to see him go but fortunately we will get him back later in the year.
